The FT-891 is a multi-band and multi-mode portable transceiver with up to 100 Watts of stable high output power. Carefully and intelligently designed to fit into an Ultra Compact (6.1'' x 2.0'' x 8.6'') rugged case, the FT-891 includes many popular features typically found only in larger-sized HF transceivers. The FT-891 triple conversion receiver with a 1st IF frequency of 69.450MHz enables outstanding performance and high quality easily understood audio. The new FT-891 also provides Yaesu's DSP QRM and Noise Reduction functionality. The 32bit high speed floating point DSP provides effective cancellation and reduction (DNR) of random noise that frequently frustrate those using HF frequencies. In addition, Auto Notch (DNF) automatically eliminates QRM causing dominant beat tones while the receiver's Contour function and APF (Audio Peak Filter) can be used to further reduce undesired HF noise.
