I used this during the Polar Vortex of 2019 and within seconds the thick layer of ice was cracking and popping! My driveway and sidewalk was clear a lot quicker than my neighbor's. I do store it in an empty kitty litter bucket to make sure it doesn't get wet and clumpy from moisture in my garage.
