The lens increases your angle of view by about 100%, making it 100 on the DC2000 camera and 120 on the DC1400. Its effective focal length is 16mm on the former model and 14mm on the latter. Additionally, the optic consists of 5 glass elements in 5 groups, which feature anti-reflection multi-coatings to maximize light transmission and prevent flare.
