Speakers work with no problems.The only problems I have had with buying comp. monitors is how good the base is. This base comes in 2 pieces. I had a bit of trouble putting the arm? piece into the round base. and it slides up into the monitor on back. Also this might matter to some as it did for me afterward. The HDMI hooks up from the back instead of underneath the monitor. I have to tell my daughter to be careful not to push it against the wall because it could wiggle the connect loose and therefore no picture. I am to lazy to take pics so I hope you get what I mean. There is a good 1 inch give away from wall because of strong cord coming from back plug in.....Not worth a return for me.
