Getting the power of a chainsaw high up in a tree is what pole saws are all about. The Oregon PS250 Pole Saw stands out by combining that versatility with the power of electricity. This pole saw can be powered by any Oregon battery (not included). With the 2.6 amp-hour battery, you can make up to 325 cuts on a single charge. With the 4 amp-hour battery, that number increases to 500. At the high end, a 6 amp-hour battery allows you to make up to 750 cuts on a single charge. One of the benefits of an electric pole saw is how quietly it runs. This saw cuts at only a fourth of the volume of a gas powered chainsaw and makes no sound at all when the chain isn't being run. That help you avoid disturbing the neighbors. It also protects your ears from noise damage. To make cuts where you need to, you can use the adjustable collar. This collar allows you to extend the length of the tool to a little over 10 feet. Combine that with your own height, and you can reach branches 14 to 15 feet in the air without the need of a stepladder. When you're lifting the pole saw high above your head, it can be hard to keep everything balanced and stable. That's why this pole saw is made with a mid-mount motor. That way the center of gravity stays closer to the middle of the tool, making it easier to handle and use. For additional ease of use, this pole saw also comes with a branch hook. This hook lets you get a steady grip on one branch while you cut through another. You can also use the included shoulder strap to avoid carrying all of the tool's weight in your hands. The chainsaw itself has a bar that measures 8 inches in length. With it, you can cut branches and tree limbs up to 5 inches thick. With that cutting ability, you can use the Oregon PS250 Pole Saw to tackle all kinds of tree trimming jobs.
