The Mustang Smooth Driver Backrest Kit can be used with Harley-Davidson stock or Mustang one-piece seats that have a center opening to accept a backrest The height of the post (up/down) is controlled by a spring-actuated plunger pin. The tension of this pin can be adjusted as follows: turn the set screw clockwise to increase tension and counter-clockwise to decrease tension. The tilt angle (front/back) is controlled with the 5/16”-24 x 5/8” knurled thumbscrew at the front of the post. Turn clockwise to tilt forward, counter-clockwise to tilt back. Mustang Smooth Driver Backrest Kits are made in the USA Note: this Mustang Driver Backrest Kit will not work with a solo or two-piece seat, also will not work with HD Tallboy seat.
