I received it, immediately opened it, put my fully charged 24v battery into it, connected it properly to the tire's valve stem, turned it on, set the psi, and hit run. It started making a horrendous noise like one of those oilless compressors some people use. It displayed the current psi of that tire, 21.1. As I had it set to inflate to 32 PSI it should have started inflating. It did not. A rapid countdown on the screen from 21.1 to 0 appeared. IT COMPLETELY DRAINED THE AIR OUT OF MY TIRE INSTEAD OF INFLATING IT, LEAVING MY RIM SITTING ON MY TIRE AND PROBABLY DAMAGING THE EXPENSIVE TIRE!! I thought maybe for some reason the thing drains the tires before inflation so I left the device running and watched as it remained at zero for 1 full minute, then suddenly the compressor started making a horrid noise that I can't even describe and also bogged down as if inflating but it wasn't inflating, something inside was melting or something because little black plastic pieces started coming out of the vents and the thing got really hot. I am going to give them one more chance, I will exchange it and try it again but if it does the same thing then I will be contacting corporate for not only a full refund of the product plus shipping, I will also expect a full payment for a new tire since they are to blame for my tire ending up flat. As of this moment I cannot in good faith recommend this product to any of you. I love Kobalt 24v impacts and drills, those are phenomenal, but this so far is a dud. You're better off spending the $300 or so on the Snap On portable 18v inflator. ;LessVeryDisappointed · Review provided by lowes.comAll Reviews
