So you get a blotch of heavy spray pattern every 12 inches… I did everything.. changed tips to lower orifice, thinned paint to the maximum allowed by paint manufacturer (Behr), changed pressure settings. Paint had to be sprayed at max pressure settings to get rid of outside tails even after thinning. So the pattern showes up as a sheen every 12 inches after the paint dries. SmartControl 1.0 pressure control delivers a consistent spray fan without fluctuation"I have been painting for 40 years... these units are junk. I use to have an old campbell hausfeld (lasted 20 years) and the unit ran constantly and never experienced pulsating spray like these units.I even bought the X9 pro version thinking that unit would keep up without pulsating the paint spray pattern. Wrong... for $799 it also is junk. Save your money and rent the Graco -Ultra 395 PC Electric Airless Sprayer, Hi-Boy 95 from home depot rental or any other commercial spray unit. Now I have to paint again for the third time. Graco should pay for the time wasted on this project. ;Lessdisappointment · Review provided by Home DepotAll Reviews
