The Assurance TripleTred All-Season is designed to present drivability and all-season grip, even in light snow. The directional tread pattern of the Assurance TripleTred All-Season comprises three tread zones to deliver traction in wintry, wet and dry conditions. The Dry Zone features shoulder blocks to provide confident maneuvering on dry pavement. Aquachannel grooves that help slush and water to increase traction on wet roads were sculptured by the Water Zone uses. Along with the Ice Zone features a unique tread compound made of polymers mixed with volcanic sand and glass fibers. This compound is molded into a center rib using multiple biting edges to enhance grip packed snow and ice. The Assurance TripleTred All-Season tread pattern also features Goodyear's Evolving Traction Grooves that start as 1/10" broad sipes to Boost footprint contact once the tire is fresh, and extend into wider lateral grooves as the tire wears. In comparison with conventional sipes, rain, slush and snow grip is generated more by Evolving Traction Grooves longer into the tire's life. The tire's internal arrangement includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wound polyamide to blend ride quality with durability. The tire features a polyester cord casing to enhance ride comfort. Wet Traction Water zone has a sweeping tread pattern that helps evacuate water away from the tread for enhanced wet traction. Ice Traction Ice zone has numerous biting edges offering enhanced gripping traction on icy and slick roads. Dry Traction Dry zone has large tread blocks along the outer edges to help provide confident handling on dry roads. Ultra Wet Traction Evolving Traction Grooves help maintain confident traction in rain and snow — even as the tire wears.
