An electronic Touch-N-Go gas ignition system lights coals with a push of a button without the need for lighter fluid. To greatly increase cooking options, the Performer Deluxe is outfitted with Gourmet BBQ System cooking grates, a 3-part grate system. For fun change-of-pace meals the center grate may be removed and replaced with Gourmet BBQ System cookware (sold separately). This fully-featured charcoal grill also sports a Tuck-Away lid holder to safely and securely cradle the lid off the grill, and a CharBin that keeps a 20-lb. bag of charcoal weather-protected under the prep table. For easiest maintenance possible, One-Touch cleaning system blades at the bottom of the bowl sweep ashes into a removable enclosed ash catcher. A rust-resistant adjustable damper controls airflow into the grill to lower or raise cooking temperatures. A plated steel cooking grate is hinged for easy addition of charcoal while grilling.
