The battery-powered chainsaw performs quietly and emission free which is particularly favourable in noise-sensitive areas and there's no need to wear ear protection when operating this machine. 'Shell' means the shell of the machine only and does not include a battery or charger, so these must be purchased separately unless you already have a compatible AP System battery and charger. The recommended battery for use with this chainsaw is the AP 300 S 281 Wh Lithium-ion battery, which is able to run for 48 minutes on a single charge and has a charge-level indicator lit by LEDs. The recommended AL 500 quick charger will charge the AP 300 S battery to 80% in 30 minutes and to full charge in 45 minutes.
