I want to thank TSC for honoring military veterans with a 15% discount, to honor our service to our country. Now, I'd like to say it's not fair to compare this mower to probably 90% of the mowers on the market, which are cheaper made. It's like trying to compare covered wagons to a Rolls Royce. My son who's blind, looked it over with his hands, and sat on it yesterday after I brought it home. He jokingly said, "dad this mower is built like a tank!" It's true, my two other zero turn mowers together, don't weigh as much as the Maverick. I could tell immediately when I sat down on it, and started it, and engaged the blades, that this mower was unlike any mower I've ever used.
