It captures and extracts the heat from your very hot flue gas before it escapes out the top of your chimney, never to return. It is easily installed between 12 and 24 inches above the top of your heating stove and models are available to fit a 6, 7, or 8 inch flue pipe on a wood, coal, oil, or gas stove/furnace.
